Lino eliminates the need for paper sticky notes or the large easel-sized notepaper. Nowadays, educator have better alternative to save money and reduce the use of paper in class. According to mrsporraz
(2013), there is various ways to use Lini such as in class discussion, to answer study questions, to lead department meetings, and to lead parent discussions. But, there is some educator still do not know to use Lino. Here, i show the way for teacher/educators to have and use their own Lino

1) Sign up at Linoit.com

signed up and invite students to join the teacher Lino sticky note accunt. But, If others did not receive the email invitation, you need to create an account under your name and share same pasword with your students

2 ) Create Classes

Create different groups for the different classes that will participate during the year.

3) Create a Canvas

Create a canvas for each class and for each different discussion.you also can create a canvas for each period.

4) Group Students

Most of students have cell phones, iPads, or Kindles with Internet access. Students also can use computer or their laptop to use Lino.

5) Use a Projector

Project the Lino canvas from a teacher computer for the whole class to see as they type in responses. This is also a good way to keep an eye on the posts or to edit student posts in real time.

6) Get Students Posting

Assign each student a role to play in the discussion group. One or two students in each group can share the posting duty.

7) Discuss Lino Sticky Note Posts

Call groups to the front of the room in front of the projected Lino sticky notes. Enlarge the group’s sticky note as they discuss what they have written.

8)Save the Canvas for Later Studying

Save the Lino sticky notes. When the class has finished the discussion the sticky notes with all of the class input will be available for later viewing.

First of all, did you guy still use the sticky note? That one is not up to date in this new era. Because of that we have Lino. Lino is a virtual message center. Here you can share anything that you want. First you must install the application, and after that you must sign up into the application. In these application teens are finds themselves at the main page are full of stickies with links to Web-based help explaining how the app works. Next we move to the canvas. What is canvas? For your information "Canvases" can have cork or various fabric-y backgrounds, and stickies can be one of 10 pastel colors with tags, icons, colored fonts in varying sizes, and a "due date" (which adds them to a task list). 1. Texts on some stickies are hidden halfway. How can I see the whole text?

Please try changing font size smaller on your browser. Text fonts and font size depend on browsers, and the difference may cause to hide some texts.

2. How can I post stickies on a canvas?

Once you login to lino, you will find a various stickies in the top right on a displayed canvas. To post stickies on the canvas, simply drag and drop your desired type of sticky anywhere you like on the canvas.

3. How can I re-size stickies?

To re-size stickies, drag and drop at the bottom right of the stickies.

4. What is “tag”?

Tag is a short keyword used to sort out posted stickies. Clicking a tag on a sticky highlights all the stickies assigned the same tag. Tags can be set only on users own canvases.

5. Can more than one tag be assigned to a single sticky?

You can assign more than one tag to a single sticky. To assign more than one tag, simply enter a space between each keyword (tag) when entering them in the designated tag entry field.

6. What is “Private”?

If you tick the check box for “Private” in the designated setting dialogue for a new sticky to post, the sticky will become translucent to hide contents on it. You can show the hidden contents by ticking the check box for “Show Private” on Tool Palette, which is locating in the top right on a canvas.

7. What are those icons displayed in the down right on a posted sticky?

They are action buttons. There are six different action buttons; “Edit”, “Set due date”, “Send this sticky”, “Peel off”, “Copy to another canvas”, and “View original”. Types of displayed action buttons vary depending on type of sticky.

8. Edit” button

Edit” button is used to edit contents of the posted sticky.

9. “Set due date” button

If a sticky has its assigned due date, it is displayed on the sticky. The due date is also marked on “mini-calendar” locating in the down right on the canvas. Clicking a displayed due date on a sticky highlights all the stickies set the same due date.

In addition, you will receive Email with the message “Tasks due today” in the morning on a due date of a posted sticky as a reminder. You can change a due date anytime by clicking “Set due date” button and clicking a desired date on the displayed small calendar.

10. Send this sticky” button

Send this sticky” button is used to send a sticky to a main canvas of another lino user. With this feature, stickies can be used as phone slip through online.

11. “Peel off” button

“Peel off” button is used to remove a posted sticky.

It is recommended to remove unnecessary stickies once their assigned tasks are done so that they don’t mess up your canvases. Meanwhile, please note that records of removed stickies are not stored.

12. Is there any way to keep records of removed stickies?

You can create a new canvas for storage and can keep unnecessary stickies by dragging and dropping them on it instead of just removing them.

13. Copy to another canvas” button

Copy to my canvas” button is displayed on a sticky. By clicking this button, you can copy the sticky to your canvas or your favorite canvases.

14. “View original” button

“View original” button will be shown when a premium user post an image sticky. Click the button to show the original image.

15. What is an icon displayed in the down left on a posted sticky?

If someone has posted a sticky on your canvas, the sticky displays a some kind of image to inform that the sticky has been posted by someone else. Placing the mouse pointer over the image displays a username of the person who posted it, and the date and time of posting.

AHello guys👐😊. Do you guys have use Padlet apps before this? Today i want to share about Padlet vs Lino.
Padlet and Lino are the two best online sticky note services around. Walls can be set up, so that students can use them without logins or passwords, making them easy to infuse into lessons.These products allow the teacher to gain instant feedback from the students, hence giving the student the opportunity to express their view, virtual message boards everyday to collect student products, power communication, and fuel productive collaboration.

Both are easy to use and both have their issues.

Lino is an application which is available from the Apple Store and possibly other android markets. In order to use Lino the device needs to have the application downloaded, then the user can gain access to the teachers Lino wall. However, Padlet does not have an app, it is computer based. The teacher, using the Padlet website, creates a wall (a padlet); all the student requires is the URL address to connect to the wall. This gives Padlet the advantage as there is no reliance on an android market supplying the app.

The advantage of Lino is, the user can create a wall using the app or through the website. This is great if the wall is for personal use only. However, the downside of creating a wall via the app is that the URL is not identified and therefore access for public viewing becomes challenging. In order to find the address the wall creator needs to access the Lino website.
For the user the Lino app is the most colourful; it offers a variety of post-it colours and cute motifs. It also permits the user to write their comment and then ‘post’ it to the wall; hence, giving them time to edit their feedback. Padlet is not colourful and provides live feedback, for as the user types their response it instantly appears on the interactive whiteboard. Students found this aspect of Padlet a little intimidating.

For students to gain easy access, to either a Lino or Padlet wall, the teacher needs to create QR codes identifying the wall’s URL address. This is the only method I have found that prevents the student from having to type the URL address into their device’s browser – as mistakes can be easily made when copying a URL address. So if these walls are going to be utilised effectively then the creators need to have an understanding of how to generate a QR code and the learner needs to download a QR code reader.

Hi guys! Have you heard about Lino? No? So, today I would like to share a bit of information about Lino. Lino is actually a free service that allows people to create a canvas of online multi-media sticky notes. The user can create a board for private use, for sharing with the public, or they can also share with the individuals who have been given a link to the owner's board.

Furthermore, with the proper settings in place, individuals with the URL address can edit and add to the board, which makes this as a great site for teachers to work collaboratively with students and vice versa.

One of the great advantages of Lino is students can post to the teacher's shared board despite they do not have any Lino account. Those who post to lino board via a URL address can do it anonymously. Thus, in order to keep on track of which sticky notes belongs to which students, it is important to ask the student to sign their first names to their stickies.

Student can use canvas board as the end-product for project submission.
Think-pair-share
- Teacher can pose question to class and students need to think and write their response within 1-2 minutes. Students can pair up with another student near them and explain his/her response to the other. Then, students need to email their response and the teacher will use the canvas board to show to the class’s responses.
Jigsaw strategy
- Expert group contribute to the canvas board assigned to them. Students then return to their group, and share with the rest using the canvas board they had constructed earlier in their expert group.
Six Hats of critical thinking
- Teacher poses a problem or issue. Then, in a small group of two to four, students need to think about a problem using Edward de Bono’s Six Hats of critical thinking which consist of white hat (calls for information known or needed), black hat (judgement-the devil’s advocate or why something may not work), red hat (signifies feelings, hunches and intuition), green hat (creativity, possibilities, new ideas and alternatives), yellow hat (values and benefits and why something may work) and blue hat (used to manage the thinking process).

Hello friends!! Today I want to share with you about two different best online sticky note services, which is Padlet and Lino. Both of them are web-based and and compatible to use on iPads, Macs, smartphones and tablets. Besides, walls can be set up so that students can access them logins or passwords which is making them very easy to use into lessons.

However, each of tools have pros and cons. There’s an explanation below about comparing Padlet and Lino.

1. Padlet

· Pros:

- Moderate posts

- Can upload videos

Have layout where posts appear one on top of another

- Need to specify a URL

- Have options to export & for printing

· Cons:

- Posts appear for everyone as they are typed.

- Posts are not in the same position on the wallpaper on different screens

2. Lino

· Pros:

- Can change sticky color and size

- Able to change text color and size

- Can use own background for stickies

- Can rotate the stickies

· Cons:

- Must dismiss the messages to download app each time a canvas is loaded on a mobile devices.

- Videos must be uploaded to Youtube, Vimeo or Ustream

So, how you think about these two different note online tools? I think both of them are great and useful for users, however it depends on the users’ preferences which one they think it is suitable and comfortable for them to use.

Lino it is a website enables tutors and learners to create free online sticky boards that can be used to create resources for use in the classroom and for access after a session. It is a simple web-based ‘notice board’ that tutors can use to post links to documents, videos, audio files and websites. It works on PCs and you can download an app for use on mobile devices.

1. About moving multiple stickies at once
By holding down Shift key and moving a sticky, stickies over or under the sticky move together. If you release sticky on a canvas thumbnail on dock, stickies moved together will be transfered.

2. About arranging sticky to the rear
When stickies are over another, you can arrange one of the stickies to the rear. For windows, hold down Alt key and click on the sticky. For Mac, hold down Option key and click on the sticky.

3. How can I move a sticky to another canvas?
Drag the sticky and drop it to the canvas on the Dock.

4. How can I move a sticky to the invisible part of the canvas?
Drag the sticky and drop it to the navigator.

5. Can I use lino with my friends?
Yes, surely you can! Once you create a group and invite your friends to it, you can share canvases and stickies with them.

6. Can I subscribe to contents of posted stickies using RSS reader?
Yes. Each canvas is RSS compatible and contents of its posted stickies can be output via RSS. You can subscribe to contents of posted stickies on each canvas by clicking a RSS button on your browser while the desired canvas is displayed on your browser.

7. Can I subscribe to contents of stickies with due dates using Google Calendar?
Yes. To subscribe to the information, visit Preferences > Calendar, RSS and then assign the URL of “ICS iCalendar” to applications compatible with iCalendar such as Google Calendar and c2talk. Please note that stickies have to be assigned their due dates to be subscribed to using iCalendar.
You can also include stickies on favorite canvases and group canvases by checking the checkbox named “Include stickies with a due date in my calendar” at each canvas preferences.

8. “Subscribe with Google Calendar” is not working properly.
Google Calendar gets lino calendar information once in a while. New stickies and edited stickies need some time to be modified on Google Calendar.

9. Can I post images or articles of other web sites
on my canvas?
Yes. With the bookmarklet feature lino offers, you can post your favorite images or articles (texts) of other web sites on your canvas. Please visit Preferences > Bookmarklet.

10. What is “Bookmarklet”?
lino bookmarklet is a function to be used to copy a title, URL, texts (need to be selected by dragging them) or image from other websites currently browsed on your computer to a canvas.

To use this feature, you have to first add lino bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmark (favorites for IE7), and then follow the procedures as follows depending on your browser.

IE7: Right click first and click “favorites” from the menu displayed.
FireFox2: Right click first and click “bookmark this link” from the menu displayed.
Safari3: Directly drag and drop “lino it” to “Bookmark Bar.”

After adding lino bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmark (favorites for IE7), visit a website which you wish to copy images, articles, and etc from, and then click lino bookmarklet added to your browser’s bookmark.
Please note that you have to first select texts by dragging when you try to copy texts, and then you can post them on a canvas by clicking lino bookmarklet.

11. How can I show a canvas over another page?
While you’re browsing other sites, you can show your canvas over the page by clicking “lino anywhere” bookmarklet.

12. How can I embed a canvas in my blog?
You can embed your canvas as you embed videos to your blog. Open the canvas you want to embed and click the information icon on Palette. Then, copy the HTML for embed lino, and paste it to your blog.

13. About shortcut keys for sticky operations
“1”: Used to post the yellow stickies.
“2”: Used to post the green stickies.
“3”: Used to post the blue stickies.
“4”: Used to post the pink stickies.
