My first position was as a Teaching Assistant at the Tech Center. After one year there, I moved to Bedford Jr. High where I taught Business and Journalism. In 2015, I accepted a position back where I started, now called the Buinger Career and Technology Academy, where I teach Marketing courses to 10th, 11th and 12th graders. In addition, I am currently in the LEAD HEB program.

I received my Bachelor's degree in 2005 from UNT with a BA in Radio, Television, and Film. I worked in the marketing and promotions industry for several years until I began my career in education. Since then, I have received two Master's Degrees. In 2013, I received my Master's in Educational Leadership, and in 2017, I received my second in School Counseling- both from DBU. Currently, I am continuing my education to gain my liscensure to be a professional counselor/therapist with the desire to focus on teens and young adults.

I am certified in multiple areas including: Business 6-12 | Marketing 8-12 | Speech 8-12 | Journalism 8-12 | English 8-12 | Principal K-12 | School Counselor K-12. 
Currently , I teach Social Media Marketing, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, and Advertising and Sales Promotion.

As far as my personal life, I married my husband, Matt, on May 28th , 2016. We live in Hurst with our two pups, Maggie and Ellie. I am a HUGE football fan and follow the NFL religiously, including fantasy football
