Circle #5: This is my favorite circle, I used little spheres and watched a youtube tutorial on how to shade them. I had a lot of fun doing this as I drew a big sphere that takes up the most space and had smaller spheres next to it which takes up less space. This reminds me of the time when I encouraged my daughter to try shading and get into realism art style.

Circle #6: I like geometry so I chose “form” as my element for this circle. I had a lot of fun shading in circle number 5 so I wanted to try to shade different shapes in colors instead of just black and white.

For this one I decided to do a variety of colored lines. These line go in different directions and are different colors.
Circle #3: This one is shape as an element and space as principle. I decided to do a simple shape like a circle and a somewhat better shape to show the emphasis. I also did the circles in a plain color and the heart in red, just so it pops out more.
Circle #5: I decided to do lines as an element and balance as a principle. I did curvy lines to show the balance between all of the lines that I had done.
Circle #6: Now for this last one, I wanted to do lines and rhythm. Lines are the element and rhythm is the principle. I decided to show something like a heart monitor. That was somewhat my inspiration for this one.

For shape and rhythm, I took inspiration from Andy Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans piece, where he replicated the soup can to draw attention to the minute differences. I departed from that by making one of the triangles stand out from the others. Maybe that changed it too much, but I wanted to add a more interesting element to the piece. I wanted to use the rhythm to highlight that difference.

For Shape and Variety (#2), I wanted to repeat the order and shapes but use the variety of the sizes themselves to make it more interesting. I think it draws focus to the bigger shapes as foreground objects, making the smaller objects appear to be in the background.

#3 Form and Rhythm; I wanted the form of a cylinder to be the repeating element. I wanted to make it interesting again by use of perspective; they sort of seem like they are coming towards the viewer, and I think that makes it more dynamic.

#4 Form and Variety; I wanted to use various basic 3D shapes spread across the circle to show the variety. I thought of balance as I was doing this, too; the pyramid is the largest and most isolated, while the ones cluttered together are smaller.

#5 Texture and Unity; This one was really hard, as I knew I wanted to use texture but wasn't sure how to combine it with unity. I decided to start with some swirl designs to show a pathway that I would undercut with textural angled lines. The lines are consistent throughout, and facing the opposite direction within the swirls themselves. I am trying to show unity by the repetition of the texture throughout the design.

For circle #1, I chose to do the yin-yang sign. It has an identical side which gives the artwork balance. In the line that I drew in the center, I wanted to give the viewer a different look at life that even though at some point your up in life, you might feel like everything is going great. Then, suddenly you drop down, representing the struggles until you get back up and keep trying.
For circle #2, I chose a different variety of lines. The perspective I wanted to give the viewers is that some people's life is going how they want to while others' life is confusing, and some even get their life cut short or are reborn after a traumatic situation in life.
For circle #3, I chose color and balance. Finding the colors that correspond with each other gives the viewers a sense of emotion the artist is trying to convey. I used baby blue and baby pink colors because, as gender reveals, you don't know what feeling you will give the viewer.
For circle #4, I chose to shape and balance. There are three ways to see the balance in this circle—the balance of white, pink, and white patterns all around. For example, the tiny pink, white and big white correspond to small pink, white, and giant pink. Or how the big white and the vast pink are balanced, and the small white and small pink are equally balanced.
For circle #5, I gave it shape and variety. Again, black space with various colorful forms makes the shapes stand out, giving the viewer a better visual experience.
For circle #6, I did value and space. I did a black background with an "M" popping out of the black hole, giving the illusion that it is coming out of the page and a three-dimensional effect.

I created this picture and chose these certain principle and element because it represent the light and darkness while the middle is shining. The middle represent both light and dark shine and united into one but as you can see in this world thier very little balance in this life.

For the first circle (shape and variety) I played with lines and it helped create the shapes within the circle. It was fun to connect lines in random spaces of the circle and see that i came up with symmetrical shapes but also a variety of them if you take a closer look. If you’re looking at a section of the circle individually, then you can see a different shape like a triangle or a square.

For the second circle (shape and proportion) I drew circles within the circle. Again, playing with the idea of symmetry and tapping into balance. The different shapes of the circles and the sizes of them give them space between and allows the element of proportion to take part.

In this circle (space + balance) I wanted to imitate a mandala. When you look at a traditional mandala, you could see that every single surface area of the (usually) circle is designed but it works well with everything around it. I wanted to do a monotone mandala to show a little bit of everything - texture, lines, balance, unity, etc.. Ultimately I narrowed it down to space and balance because all the shapes and shading within the circle compliment each other and while it still looks busy, you can still make out the different designs within the circle.

For the last circle (line + unity) I wanted to draw a spiderweb because it was the first thing that came to mind. When you look at a spiderweb, you can see the organic and geometric components. A spiderweb is symmetrical and creates a unison within the shape itself and in it’s simplified form, it’s all just lines overlapping one another.

Again VERY sticky but fun! Makes me feel organized, even though the rectangles aren't perfect the pattern is what brings me this feeling.

#6 For this one I used Value and Space. Of course I had to draw my cat since he deserves the spotlight. I drew around him to put emphasis on the space. It's my favorite because it makes me feel like a happy cat mommy and makes me think of my cat.

Circle 2) Color and Balance, its based off how much I like certain colors and how well each color mixes together. Circle 3)Shape and Variety, this circle with different shapes I chose was because it was how I use to draw people I was never good with drawing perfect circles and not being able to was dishearten so I drew simpler shapes. Circle 4) Texture and Variety, I wasn't sure what was had to do for this so i drew easy shapes and colors. Circle 5) Color and Unity, this circle was fun for me mostly because I always enjoyed drawing square spirals I always keep doing it when I was bored and how much it helped me pass the time.

I personally love sunsets and the feeling I get when I'm outside admiring the beautiful colors of the sky and this circle reminds me of those feelings.
#2: Color and Emphasis - I decided to emphasize the vibrant color orange and I surrounded that with different shades of blacks and gray. I like this technique I used because it helped the orange in the middle really stand out.
#3: Form and Variety - Here I illustrated a variety of different shape forms, I'm really satisfied with how clear I made the 3 dimensional shapes, especially the pyramid. it makes me want to start drawing items in 3D more.
#4: Shape and Variety - In this circle I drew a variety of different shapes, this one was the fastest to draw but also introduced me to a new perspective of art. They are placed meticulously into the circle so that the shapes will mirror each other to form a sence of balance.

It could be fins on a fish, etc.
#6 Value & Rhythm
The value is definitely represented in this circle with the transition of the colors going from light green to dark green in the seaweed and dark blue to light blue in the ocean behind it. The black seaweed provides more insight on the colors that give it value. The seaweed demonstrated shows rhythm with the way it flows in the ocean and the shape of it.

#3 Shape is the element and I made sure to include different types of shapes that spoke to me. I used variety as the principle to show the different types.
#4 I chose color as an element and used different shades of blue along with yellow to create a palette. Balance is the principle here as the different blocks create symmetry

#5 Line is the element here as it divides the many sections of different categories within the slices. Variety is the principle and the different shapes and lines create a different feel to each of the sections.
#6 Shape is an element and I chose the heart which is a symbol of strength and softness. There is softness in strength so I made sure to create a darker shade of red as the outline and left the inside white to create a hollowing effect. This is the emphasis and the principle of the piece.

#7 I made an extra piece just for fun and chose color as an element and put two different shades of green as I feel it symbolizes calmness and restoration. The scale is showing the comparison in size of the two shapes which is the principle of this piece.
