I'm genuinely excited to start this course. the idea of making an advertisement for something of our choice is really exciting. I'm not sure if I can come up with 80 possible ideas but I'm sure I will get there. making a promotional video should be really cool and give me a really great opportunity to make a movie that isn't a narrative short film.

my target audience is young men from 12 to 18.
slightly to very right wing
probably followers of andrew tate
use social media like instagram and TikTok and spend a lot of time on them.
the message needs to highlight how their actions are harmful even if they don't intend them to be, because they promote a harmful message wether intended or not.
a lot of adds about casual misogyny focus on fathers not spreading misogynistic views to their children and holding them accountable for misogynistic views but mine will focus on teenage boys holding each other accountable.

I chose to use purple as the primary colour for my project as it is internationally recognised as the color representing domestic violence, which ties into my message. using Adobe a greenish yellow was selected as a complementary colour.

the advertisement will feature 3 boys sitting in a beadroom making a number of sexis coments and phrasing them as jokes. lines such as "women belong in the kitchen" and such are thrown around and all 3 laugh. eventually one says something that gives another pause and he asks the first if he is joking. the boy replies that he is dead serious and it becomes apparent that he has been dead serious the entire conversation, horrifying the other two, a tag line will appear saying "it's just a joke, until it isn't". and a link to my website will appear.
