In July of 1540, they finally found one of the golden cities, but it wasn't what Coronado expected with no gold or other riches. In the fall of 1541, he heard more stories of riches and treasures which restored his faith in being a conquistador.  In April 1541 Cornado and his men marched toward Qibla, but found nothing but lies and fake stories. Francisco went to live a quiet life in Mexico City.
