         <title>Concentric Zone Model/Burgess Model- 1923</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Concentric Zone Model/Burgess Model is a model with a series of rings , 5 in total, created by E.W. Burgess. The first ring is the Central Business District (CBD). The second ring is the Zone of Transition consisting of deteriorated housing, factories, and abandoned buildings. The third wring is the Zone of Independent Workers' Homes and has single family tenements. The fourth ring is the Zone of Better Residences and has single family homes and yards/ garages. The last ring, the fifth, is the Commuter's zone which is the suburbs.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Sector Model/Hoyt Model is a model with a series of sectors unlike the rings in the Concentric Zone Model/Burgess Model. This model was developed by Homer Hoyt and features activities expanding outwards in a wedge/sector from the center as a city grows. The sectors pictured in the model are as followed, the Central Business District, Factories, Low Class Residential, Medium Class Resident, and High Class Residential.</div>]]></description>

Harris and E.L. Ullman and features ten different nodes. The order is as followed, the Central Business District (CBD), Zone of Transition, Residential (low class), Residential (middle class), Residential  (upper class), Industry, Business Centre (mini CBD), Suburb, Industrial Park/Suburb, and Commuter Belt. </div>]]></description>

These areas are tied together by a beltway or ring road. Around the beltway is what is called edge cities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Urban Realms Model shows spatial components of a city. The model was made by James E. Vance Jr., and improved upon later by Ernest Griffin and Larry Ford. The model uses realms, which are separate and each used for its own purpose, but all together are linked together to form one large city. The model uses four ideas which include the city, urban realm boundary, Central Business District, and Airport.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Latin American Cites Model/Griffin-Ford Model is a model that was created by Ernest Griffin and Larry Ford that shows a spine that extends from the Central Business District (CBD) surrounded by high-class residents to the mall. This model is the opposite of North American model and is further away from the&nbsp;CBD the poorer the people. It also shows where the rich and poor are located in relation to the spine, and explains the high class difference.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Sub-Saharan African Cities Model/De Blij Model is a model created by De Blij that compares three Central Business Districts (CBD), Colonial, Market and Traditional. The CBDs are surrounded by ethnic neighborhoods that represents the different types of the ethnic groups of that region before it became urbanized. Outside of these neighborhoods are the industrial zones and the poverty is spread throughout the city, meaning that there is not much of a class difference in society.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Southeast Asian Cities Model/McGee Model is a model created by T.G. McGee and has no actual Central Business District (CBD) and instead is dispersed throughout the city. There is a very large middle-class population in the alien commercial zones an the higher-class citizens live on the right edge of the city by the government zone and away from industrial areas or commercial areas. Different zones represent the dispersed CBD including the Western Commercial, Alien Commercial, Mixed Land-Use, and Government.</div>]]></description>
