This idea given earlier by allama Iqbal and touched millions of muslims. The Quaid well understood that Muslims couldn't prosper and live in accordance with their religion and culture as an independent in India dominated by the Hindus. The day celebrates the adoption of the Pakistan resolution by the Muslim league at the Minar-e-Pakistan. There were no individual benefits, everyone was thinking on a broader prospect,  everyone was thinking for the muslims of the sub-continent and for Pakistan.  There were no sindhis ,balouchs ,pathans,kashmiris,punjabis and Bengals, they were all part of a great Muslim nation . On 23 March 1940 , the muslims demanded a separate home-land for themselves through a resolution called "the Lahore resolution "(noe called the Pakistan resolution). It was passed in the annual session of the all India Muslim league , held at Lahore on the 23 March , 1940 .
