This was the first location of industrialization during the 18th to the early 19th century. Starting in Britain and spreading to the rest of Europe in 40 years. The main product made during this time was Clothing goods made in textile factories. These Factories were found on the river banks in order to use the river's current to turn water wheels which reduced human labor. These factories required people which caused many people to become more urbanized during this time period , but these factories also produced a lot of pollution which reduced the life expectancy to 35 years of age. A inventions made at this time in this area was the Spinning Jenny, and exported coal which was then used in the factories.

Germany was one of the second countries to industrialize because it possessed capital, natural resources, and water transportation. The only reason it didn't start industrializing was because it had a fragmented states. Germany quickly became the leading producer of coal and steel. This increase in demand of coal boomed the economy and led many people to work in the many coal mines throughout the country. New technology invented during this time was the basic combustion engine and the new invention of lithography printing techniques.

Russia was introduced to the Industrial Revolution rather late (1880's) by other European countries from the West. They became mostly train based for their whole period of industrialization. Although they also had large industries based on coal, iron, and steel. Steel became a large part in the railroad development and Russia could then easily transport resources and interact with other countries. However industries only lasted from 1920's because of the Communism takeover, which led to a mostly agricultural economy.

India was under British occupation during 1757 to 1858. The British East India company controlled part of the country and established high tariffs which ultimately led to the decline of India's ability to mine and work metals, and some mines were closed in fear of the miners extraction lead for bullets, ending the mining industry for most cities. In addition to that India's once thriving textile exportation was heavily reduced due to European textile companies demanding them to be taxed. Causing mass poverty and starvation. Only until the 19th century and them gaining independence would India finally be able to modernize like the rest of the world, Continuing textile production.

The reason for this is that the leadership and industry was all in importing products that was already manufactured. Still some exports were traded including gems and other ores.
