Foi un alcázar omeia utilizado como residencia real durante o inicio do Emirato de Córdoba e ata o Califato de Córdoba.

Derruíuse no ano 1236 polos cristiáns, e só se puideron salvar os Baños feitos por Abderramán II.

It was an Omeia palace used as a royal residence at the beginning of the Emirate of Córdoba and later during the Caliphate of Córdoba.
