Thanksgiving is a festival and a national holiday expressing our gratitude towards the world, and especially towards God. It is the time when families and friends seat down, and enjoy their meal with their loves. This festival makes families and friends to love each others more and let them to have more time to spend together as a family. It usually is that families or friends gathered around in a table, eating a peaceful and enjoyable meal together. They have all kinds of very tasty traditional foods on the feast which makes people to enjoy the feast even more. 

Thanksgiving is celebrated in Canada, United States. Also, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. After this festival was published,  Germany and Japan started a similar festival just like Thanksgiving. But these are all of the first countries who celebrates it. Many other countries all around the world celebrate it as well, such as Japan, China, and Korea. Still, the main countries that celebrate it is Canada, United States, Caribbean islands, and Liberia. 

There is no specific countries, places, or people who celebrates it, since it's a NATIONAL holiday, which means everyone can celebrate it. People all around the world is celebrating Thanksgiving, but mostly, Canada, United States, Caribbean islands, and Liberia celebrate it.  

Thanksgiving doesn't actually have a specific date on which it's celebrated, but usually, it is celebrated on the second-last Thursday on the year's November. 

People celebrate Thanksgiving by hosting a feast for their own family (or with friends). They usually eat Turkey with Stuffings inside, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Sweet Potatoes, Cornbread, and Cranberry Sauce. When the feast is almost over, people will serve desserts like Pies, there are actually lots and lots of flavours of pies, the most popular ones are Pumpkin and Apple.

Thanksgiving is when people gather around and have a feast about what good things that happened in their lives and it is also a time for the to cherish the things that god gave them. One of the reasons why people celebrate thanksgiving is to share with the people around them what they have and what they are grateful for. People usually celebrate it on dinner tables so that they can share it one by one and so that they can share their things that they are grateful for to more people.

Thanksgiving, is on the forth Thursday in November, and is celebrated by the Americans. There are lots of traditions for Thanksgiving, such as spending time with your family. Many people live far from family members and travel long distances by car, train, or plane for being together with their families. Also, "traditional foods are a large part of Thanksgiving celebrations. Many families include the entire family in the food preparation. Traditional foods include turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Many people serve pie for dessert at the end of the meal. Popular pie flavours are pumpkin, pecan, sweet potato, and apple.” (kids.nationalgeographic.com, 2015) Another tradition for Thanksgiving is the Wishbone. So, “some families include breaking the turkey's wishbone as part of their celebration. The wishbone is found attached to the breast meat in the turkey's chest. Which means everyone can celebrate it. Thanksgiving Day is a day for families and friends to gather around for a special meal. The meal often includes a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, pumpkin pie, and vegetables. Thanksgiving is an annual American holiday that celebrates the first corn harvest. A small ship came to Plymouth and left with 102 passengers to a New Land where they could be free and take ownership. In the first winter on the ship, only half of the people lived to see spring again with very little supply and many contagious diseases. The remaining people on the ship moves to land where they were greeted by an Abenaki Indian in English. Many days later, this Indian brought back a Native American, who taught the Pilgrims how to cultivate corn, get sap from maple trees, tell the difference between poisonous and non-poisonous plant, as well as catch fishes. In 1621, November, was when the Pilgrims first harvest was proves successful, William Bradford invited many people to feast. That day was remembered as America’s first Thanksgiving. 
Since it is an American holiday it is mostly celebrated in America. But that doesn’t mean other countries don’t celebrate it. Thanksgiving is also celebrated in Canada, the UK as well as various Caribbean islands. Actually, the UK has modified thanksgiving and made another version, but it isn’t as popular as the original one. Thanksgiving is usually celebrated on the 4^th Thursday in November, this year in 2018, Thanksgiving is on November 22^nd. Each year thanksgiving will be celebrated on a different day. When You celebrate Thanksgiving, you gather with your family and friends and just have a big feast with 2 main dishes and a couple of side dishes. At a Thanksgiving dinner most people say thanks by showing gratitude and appreciation.

a.                        What is Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is a holiday that Pilgrims made to thank the Native Americans who helped them when they first arrived at America. When they first arrived there with the Mayflower, they were tired and sick. And, in the first winter they were there, they found themselves almost starving to death. But, thankfully, the Native Americans who lived there brought them food and daily life needs, and they even sent people to teach the Pilgrims how to plant American-food. So, on the harvest day, the Pilgrims decided a date to thank their god for giving them food, and when they created the date, they invited the Native Americans to join. Then after years and years, thanksgiving passed through the generation and became an official holiday.

b.                        Where is it celebrated?

Thanksgiving can be celebrated anywhere if people have the heart and feeling to celebrate it. Look at how we prepare to celebrate it in math class and you will see. It was first celebrated in the little village that the Pilgrims built, but now separated into every part of the country and even to some places outside the country.

c. Who celebrates Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving was once only celebrated by the Pilgrims and the Native Americans, it is a celebration that Pilgrims used to thank the Native Americans. But, now everybody in the world can celebrate it, they use it to thank their family, friends, teacher, etc.. It is kind of the same to the answer above.

d.                        When is it celebrated?

Thanksgiving is celebrated at Thursday of the fourth week of November. But, when it was first created, it actually don’t have a steady celebrate-date. It is even not an official holiday before 1863, when United States was created! Canada also have a thanksgiving, too. But, it is celebrated at the Monday of the second week of October. Although the Canada Council once said it is on November 6^th in 1879.

e.                        How do people celebrate Thanksgiving? 

In Thanksgiving, people would eat pumpkins, squashes, corns, and turkey. They would have the cornucopia filled with harvest products. And, people also get games to play, activities to join, and performs to look at. Americans also get shopping activities, many stores will have a sale on Thanksgiving or a little bit latter. And students and people will get a four day resting-holiday.
