         <title>Yes because they still had power over the colonies because they have not separated at that point. But the laws were harsh considering that they just repealed the stamp act.</title>

         <title>From a British perspective I do not think it was smart. What they should have done instead was negotiate with the colonies. Negotiate how much power they should have over them and what they will provide to the colonies. This way the colonies are happy and they still have power over them. </title>
