I have found great pleasure in setting off on a variety of adventures, and the individuals I have encountered have contributed an unmatched depth to these experiences. Specifically, Lithuania has weaved its beauty into my recollections, making a lasting impression on my heart. Every excursion was enhanced by the group's togetherness, which transformed ordinary events into treasured recollections. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had such an amazing bunch of people with whom to explore Lithuania's charm. The laughing, the scenery, and the cultural exposure all combined to create a mosaic of happiness that I will always cherish.

By Džejn <3

Hi. Firstly, I want to thank my parents for letting me participate, and for everyone who participated too. You were all so warm, keeping up conversations was very easy. I'd like to think that we will remember you for a long long time, and perhaps even meet up sometime again. Meeting new people is always nice, but this was truly special. Even though you were all new people and from a different country, it felt like we were already old good friends, which makes me believe it more and more - everyone and everything is connected. So let's embrace it!

• Timas

I chose this picture because it shows reality. These bracelets are not the only thing that unites us. We are mainly united by a similar culture and our traditions. We may be different on the outside but inside our hearts we are the same. This week was amazing, I met new people, gained new friends and gained new knowledge and insights. I learned a lot about Lithuanian culture and traditions. When I heard that we were going to Lithuania, I thought that it would rain here all week, but in my opinion, a miracle happened because during the whole week we had wonderful weather, but of course a little colder than in Slovakia:). I hope that I will have the opportunity to visit Lithuania and Mažeikiai one more time, because this town has grown close to my heart and I have started to feel like at home here. Thank you very much to all the teachers and especially to my new friends and their families for the wonderful week I was able to experience here.

Majka

Life is long but there are moments we wish that would last forever. We cherish those moments, we like to think about them and most importantly we learn from them. Learning about other cultures is a important part of our history and future, and I'm really thankful that I had a opportunity to do such things. I consider myself lucky to be able to travel to Lithuania with Erasmus+ project. It, I believe, gave us all a lot of new experiences, knowledge and friendships for hopefully a long time. The best part of the trip was spending time with friends (from Slovakia and Lithuania) throughout the whole time, the lessons in school, the trips, the workshops and the free time. No matter cold weather and the lack of time, our friendships were always there, like trees together stand in a ruthless wind. I can't wait to show off our country in the best and worst of what we have.

Farewell, and see you soon in Slovakia. <33

Sofi

I really enjoyed this experience in Lithuania. In my opinion it was very unique especially because it was my first exchange programme and it couldn't have been any better than this and that is because of you all.

I think it affected me in many good ways for example I had to learn to not be afraid of speaking in front of others and I was feeling more comfortable with it each day. I also really enjoyed the activities that you prepared for us, I think that they all gave us some memories that we'll remember for a very long time. My favourite activities that we had in school were the arts in chemistry, physics and actually all of the others because the people preparing it really put their heart into making it a good experience for us and I'll remember it for a long time. All the teachers and also students were very kind to us and I think we couldn't have gotten better host families. I'll also never forget the trip to Kleipeda and visiting the sea in November :).

The chocolate factory was a unique, fun and tasty experience that I think we'll never forget. I'm alredy looking forward to meeting you again in April and thank you all for this erasmus project! <3

-by Leona

This week was a very interesting experience. I have never had a stranger enter my house and live with me for a week. In those 5 days I got to know the Slovakian culture, differences and similarities. I found out that “cebule” or “cebulia” has the same meaning for us and them. These days brought me some light and I was delighted to meet such a wonderful and heartwarming person like Lenka. I enjoyed to listen to every of your story, whether it was about physics or your personal life. I found out some similar things and became closer to you. I could say that the stranger who entered my house became my friend. I was also very glad to meet other people from Slovakia. Sofia is incredibly good at drawing and has a soft heart, Jane is funny and has interesting perception about the world that makes her stand out ( in a good way obviously). Maria’s smile lighted up the whole room and Jakub showed me that there could be more gentleman and natural people in the world. I learnt a lot about my classmates, saw them in different perspectives. I think that this week was a spark in my life and I’m very waiting to meet them once again. I’m very thankful to my mom for helping me and the teachers for the opportunity to participate and gain more responsibility.

Looking forward to the last moments in the present with all of you. It was sweet when some of y'all tried to order coffee or food in Lithuanian! Had a fun experience learning how to play the BANG game! But most of all, I loved Wednesday evening we spent together.

Why did i pick this photo? It's because in a pretty short time we Slovaks and Lithuanians got kinda comfortable with each other and we were more and more shameless around each other. I want to thank you all for getting to know you and your country. I learned many things during this trip and i don't regret anything. I really liked all of the workshope. Your school is nice😌. It was a great idea that you took us to the chocolate factory cause we didnt expect it and the chocolate was really tasty(i guess when i'll come home i will probably have some strict diet cause i feel like i gained so much weight but it was worth it🤣). I also really liked the idea of the arts in chemistry workshop cause i got a little bit creative finally and also i really am not good in chemistry so i didn't know we can create those colors that easily.I am so glad that i met all of you and that we became friends. I liked everything from day one. I felt very pleasantly with the family i stayed with. Really suprising was, that u prepared for us many things and we saw way more things than we thought we would see. I hope that when you'll come to Slovakia you will feel same as us here and that you will see a lot of new things as well.

-best regards, Mirka

This week was full of fun, entertainment and also wonderful time together. It was my second time having someone to arive at my home, school, city from the project. I’m not saying that the first time was bad but this second time was much better because of the friends that arived. They were all friendly and we had pretty good time together from the beginning while traveling around lithuania or just being at home with out families. Meeting them was a nice experience for me and my family also. I fully enjoyed their staying and I really don’t mind if they stay in Lithuania for another weak or two. I will probably participate in every erasmus project from now on because with every time i gain more experience and have a lot of enjoyable time.

Žygis;)

It is a well known fact that people are very social beings. And every time I meet new people and make friendships with them I realize how important it is for us to be kind and help each other.

When we came to school on Monday morning I was feeling very nervous about how everything will go. But from the very first moment you welcomed us with open hearts, smiling at us and willing to help us in any situation. Throughout the whole week you showed and shared with us various aspects of your culture and customs. From visiting Klaipeda and the Baltic sea with beautiful views from the beach, to workshop in the chocolate factory, I enjoyed every single activity that you’ve prepared for us. It is difficult to say which was the best, every single one of those experiences expanded and enriched my knowledge in various ways.

But what is even better about this week are the friendships and connections we made among each other that will hopefully last for a very long time. We laughed together, talked about our dreams and passions and learned new things from each other.

From this week, I’m bringing home dozens of memories that I will remember for the rest of my life. It was an amazing experience to meet you all and spend this time with you🤍

And I would like to say huge THANK YOU to Rugilė and her mom, who were my host family for this week and took care of me as if I was their real family🤍

Lenka :)

I am happy that I had an opportunity to visit Račkauskas Merkelius Gymnazia in Mažeikiai.

The biggest impression left a visit in Cold War Military base. It showed us that peace and happy life is not guaranteed. Telsiai and Samogitian history helped us to improve knowledge about Lithuania.

As I am Physics teacher, lesson about light was very inspiriting . Yes, we can learn the whole life.

Sweet chocolate dot was funny.

Many thanks our Lithuanian hosts.

And my message after this time for others : Don' t be affraid to grab your chance even if you are sixteen or sixty :-)
