Education is like a cooperative game because it takes the effort of both the student in order to achieve a desired outcome.

This compares to a lot of the other philosophies in ways that learning should be student-centered and taught in a way that benefits a student's individuality, but there should also be active involvement with a teacher that can push the students in the right direction.

The most effective teaching style that I witnessed throughout my early education has got to be when the material is taught to the class in way where each individual can understand it and then proceed to apply the learned material in practice problems or real world situations.

In turn, the class room environment was one where the teacher did not dictate everything, but allowed the students to do their own learning and participate in class discussions.

Philosophies that Encourage this Teaching Environment:

The main educational philosophies that encourage the previously mentioned teaching environment has to be a mix of Essentialism and each one of the student-centered philosophies.

My Overall Philosophy:

My overall philosophy does not stick to one single educational philosophy, but adheres to multiple different philosophies. To start, I like the idea of an overall curriculum that can be used mostly for reference and should be branched upon. Then, I would take some of the values of all the student-centered. For example, I like the idea of student involvement, focus in the individual, and student choice to help improve a student's learning.
