Romeo and Juliet are in love. In the text Juliet says, "Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or, if thou will not, but be sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet." Juliet is basically saying that she would change her name and refuse to go by what her father wants for Romeo. She's also saying she would leave her house and no longer be a Capulet, which really shows her love for him. If it was lust, I don't think Juliet would ever say any of that or even get married to him. Romeo also says on that same page that he would change his name for Juliet so he would no longer be a Montague, which shows his love for her.

It may have been each other's looks that grabbed each other's attention, but through the small amount of time, they would give up everything to be with each other. For example whenever they are apart they long for each other and shows clear emotions of that. Romeo also stated how he would give up his name and loves the Capulet name. He was in so much distress when he got exiled because of the fact that he can not see juliet anymore. It was the same as Juliet. She was grieving more over the fact that Romeo is getting banished than her own cousin dying. She said that him being banished is worse than her own family's death.
