They were just infatuated with each other, with the looks of one another and the excitement of being with someone. As the article “The Teenage Brain: Very Much A Work In Progress” by Arun Rath explains, lust can be “passionate and intense feelings” that “with time…may deepen or dissolve.” They did yet develop a deep connection or even know very much about each other. The only thing they knew for sure about each other was that they were of rival houses and that they were into each other’s looks.
