Recently, Mexicans has made up one of the highest percentages of people who immigrate to the U.S. These people primarily go to Texas, Illinois, and California when they migrate here.

Push factors- Mexicans are sometimes pushed out of Mexico due to violence and persecution.

Voluntary migration- Mexicans can choose to migrate in order to join some family they may have already in the U.S.

4. Urban residents are less migratory than rural residents- Urban residents actually tend to be more migratory in Mexico, with most of the population also living in cities
