The sample, which has been used in many more songs, adds the main groove to the song, and would almost sound empty without it, or just a basic drum groove. It creates a unique style for hip hop, which DOOM does a lot of, making the song more different and versatility to accompany his rapping.

    - this song broke a couple records on sampling

    -name of the song is “blinding lights” by the weeknd was realse in 2019 and it  was sampled from two song “maniac”by michelle sambelo
    and “take on me” by a-ha, both from the 80s

    -the mood was change into from a really mornings songs into a nightime drive song. The drving vibe came from take on me and it was base on a car race and he just changed the tone by mixing the other song and changing the tone of the music to compltely change the mood

    - if the song wasnt sampled it wouldnt feel like a night time drive

    -in a nutshell “take on me” and “maniac” also have almost the same sound and tone it really fit wells together if that he thought but the mood was changed when it was sampled

    - the sampling was very noticable even at the very beggining of both original songs
