Please write examples from the film "Your name" under each categories. (total of four) Example should be in Japanese. Explain briefly about the context of examples in English (Taki said "... "to ... san. It's keigo because she is senpai. They are working at a cafe...etc.. ).

One particular scene that highlights the differences between male and female speech styles would be when Mitsuha goes to Taki's school for the first time. When she is eating with Taki's friends she is quick to refer to herself as 「私」 and 「わたくし」 but both Fujii and Takagi find this quite weird. They stare at Mitsuha bewildered and once she notices this, Mitsuha realizes that as a boy she must refer to herself as 「俺」. This is one of the many examples that we learned about which highlight a difference in feminine and masculine speech. I was glad to finally understand why they're so many different ways to say "I" in Japanese, and I think the film portrayed this concept nicely.

At around 40 min 35 sec, Taki is speaking to Okudera after their date. As Okudera is his senpai, Taki uses formal speech (ます体) while Okuedera uses informal speech. Taki says things such as 腹減（はらへ）りませんか？, いませんよ, and 全然違います, while Okudera speaks casually with phrases such as 今日は解散（かいさん）にしようか。 and 今日はありがと。またバイトでね。

At the end of the montage, they each say the same sentence, but with a slightly different variation. Taki says 俺（おれ）はいないんじゃなくて作んねえの！and Mitsuha says 私はいないんじゃなくて作らないの！Taki uses the 俺 to talk about himself and ends the sentence with 作んねえの, while Mitsuha uses 私 to talk about herself and ends the sentence with 作らないの.

Teshigawara uses contracted form when he says 何となくあんなん切らんやろ which is short for something like 何となくあんなんの切られないでしょう。 Also around 1 hr 30 min 35 sec, Mitsuha looks at the message Taki wrote and says 名前分かんないよ、which is short for 分からない。

At around 56 min 10 sec, Taki is looking at the map of Itomori Lake and says あの場所なら、、、This is an example of 文末の省略. Taki says some like "About that place..." or "If I go to that place..." and the end of the sentence is implied. The end of the sentence would be something like "I could find a clues", "I might learn more", etc.

At around 35 min 35 sec, the grandmother Hitoha is talking about 口神酒 to Mitsuha (with Taki in her body) and Yotusha. Hitoha explains first that "they offer the 口神酒 to the gods" (ご神体（しんたい）にお供（そな）えするんやさ), and then she explains that the reason behind that is because "it is half of you." (それはあんたらの半分やからなあ). This is an example of sentence inversion.

Also in the scene from 20:50-22:58 Taki is seen using very feminine patterns of speech. That is because Mitsuha is in his body and is speaking as herself. She uses 私 and わたくし, eventually stumbling her way to 僕 and 俺.
Taki's friends also use a different style of speech and that style is called 男らしい。This pattern of speech means that their are masculine tones to your speech, for example: the use of ぜ is seen as a masculine way to ask someone to join you in a verb.

There are many uses of inversion in the movie where they will state something only to add the お前は at the end of the statement, although the おまえは should be at the start of the sentence.
