Whether I was just a witness, or I was the victim, it was never a good experience. One situation I can still remember clearly to this day is the time when someone I thought was my friend, ended up hacking into my social media account and writing hurtful things under my name, about people I was friends with. Thus resulting in hurting not just my feelings, but also my friends. I felt vulnerable as I realized anyone could hack into my accounts, however even after this happening social media has remained a huge part of my life. 
One other experience I can remember relating to cyber bullying is a time when someone had taken another persons photo, and reposted it, making a joke out of it all. I didn't do anything because I was scared I would too become ridiculed, and to this day I regret not sticking up for the victim. Knowing that someone else was probably feeling targeted, gave me a weird feeling in my stomach. Cyberbullying effects everyone.

I think about how much more exciting my life would be, and how I would have no problems finding the motivation to complete tasks that my phone would otherwise distract me from. But I also consider how I would be able to communicate. Life would be very old fashioned. You'd have to just show up at someone's house if you wanted to see them, and if you wanted to send regards to your grandmother hours away, you would need to write a letter and wait weeks for a response. Exploring technology in this class has only left me on the fence about whether human beings even need cellphones, or computers. 
P.S. If I didn't have a computer, or Moodle, how would I complete this journal? I would actually need to write, but how would I put a portfolio together? Actually I guess that without technology this class wouldn't exist.. awkward.
