A Little intro on myself

Hello and good morning class! My name is probably already somewhere on this Paddlet so let's skip to the other details worthy of an introduction. I'm 22 years old, born and raised in West Philadelphia taking on a major in Culinary Management...sadly no job in that trade yet but I have participated in multiple events for that sweet sweet exposure, and while it can be a lot I do enjoy the atmosphere. (I know I could take a better photo but I really like this one)

Project Proposal

My Proposal for this project was the Transit Buddy program (Solo run). As previously stated in my intro I was born and raised in Philadelphia and occasionally I would need to take the bus/train to get around so naturally I learned how to get around there but not in a new place far from home I need to relearn how to navigate so come with me on a journey as we explore public transportation and pray we don't get terribly lost

during my bus commutes, I've encountered a series of hurdles on my journey from point A to point B. Some issues while tough at first were easy enough to overcome with time such as nervousness from being so close to many strangers, the nervousness of making sure you got on the correct bus (gotta love being anxious), finding ways to avoid motion sickness from less-than-great drivers, and dealing with hyperactive passengers who love to have loud/inappropriate conversations at 7:30 am. Along with that, I've learned quite a few things that make the whole experience of taking a bus feel more like a normal event instead of a less desirable mode of transportation. one example that I needed to remind myself of was arriving early for the occasional instance of a bus arriving early. To avoid this problem entirely I try to arrive around 15 minutes early to avoid that mess altogether plus it helps with preparing yourself mentally for the annoying passengers.

The conversation we had about the early life of turtles was one of my favorites that we had in the class not only because of my personal bias for turtles but also because of how educated my fellow classmates were helping me to learn more about one of my favorite sea creatures

During week 7 we were each told to pick an endangered species and explain about them. Looking back at mine compared to my peers I feel I didn't do my species - the Bengal tiger proper justice but their still an incredible species I think people should talk about more

Definitely one of the more interesting conversations of our class that wasn't nature-related asking about how students use AI such as ChatGPT and others like it for helping with their work and the answers I discovered while asking others about it were interesting to read about

I fell asleep on the bus one day and after waking up (and freaking out a lot) I found the Vizcaya Museum and took an uber home after exploring a bit (and got my ear yelled off by concerned friends and family)

Week 9 the professor did it again handing the sources for some more news I would have never heard about if it weren't for this class ,at least not for a few more weeks but my point still stands. about the topic of public transportation and the benefits many people will have depending on the state you're in
