         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>3 things I learned</strong>: Set clear exceptions from the beginning. Let students know that they have work to do to be prepared for the in-class work. It's an effort to keep the class fair if some students come unprepared for class. <br><strong>2 interesting points: </strong>It's up to the instructor to show the connection between outside work and in class activities. Delivery of content is important. Vary the format of the course material to take into account different learning styles of your students.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><strong>Further exploration: </strong>How to keep the class fair for those who come to class unprepared.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>3 things I learned</strong>: Be sure to make (or have students discuss) clear connections between work done outside the classroom and inside the classroom.&nbsp; Give students an introduction to what a flipped classroom is and isn't, as well as the benefits of it on the first day of class.&nbsp; Give students clear expectations of what is needed for them to do outside of class.<br><strong>2 interesting points: </strong>Flipped classrooms are not online courses because instructors and students meet.&nbsp; Flipped classes encourage students to become self-learners, a skill needed as professionals.<br><strong>1 question:</strong> How do I determine what is the right number of meaningful activities for each unit?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Three things I learned are:<br>1) Create short segments instead of an entire lesson to keep attention.<br>2) Have a plan for those who do not do the work before class.<br>3)&nbsp; Ensure that students are learning from what you are providing because what is easy for you may not be easy for them.<br><strong>Two interesting things to explore:</strong><br>1) We are trying to get them to be accountable so we have to set it up so they can succeed with what we provide.<br>2) Creating a variety of assignments is important to keep attention and be resistant to boredom.<br><strong>One question:</strong><br>1)  If we slowly flip a class, how does that work with the approval process for D2L?  Can we update the shell as we decide to flip or would that be on an individual instructor level only?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The three concept that I have learned are:<br><br>1. To be upfront with the students on expectations of work needed to prepare for classroom activities and holding students accountable for their actions.<br>2. Ensure you have a plan in place to hold the students accountable if they have not completed the work needed for class on that day.<br>3. Keep the videos short- 5-10 minutes in length to keep the retention of knowledge.<br><br>Interesting things:<br>1. Instilling reliability and accountability in students to promote their independent success.<br>2. The variety of designs that can be utilized in the flipped classroom.<br><br>One question:<br>How do we ensure that the students have the resources necessary to complete and/or comprehend the pre-class assignments?</div>]]></description>
