It was great to listen to other teachers sharing their experiences and good practice. Thanks to that I got some great ideas for new projects. I also realized how difficult it sometimes can be if teachers have no support from their headmasters and colleagues. Sitting on the white beach of ilet du Gosier and listening to my colleagues talk about the international policies of their school made me realize. That European schools have different international policies and also work to that direction at different paces. Most teachers are still unfamiliar with these policies and there are a lot of things to be done to this direction. My colleagues had presented so many good international projects which could be adapted for our school as well. We already have some international projects but we must work at communicating them to more departments in our school to get the whole school involved. Once again a learning place of a different kind, under palm trees on the white beach and blue sea ...., but no less educational!
The presentation of today's work results related to the possibilities of implementing international projects at our own schools. In the colleagues' reports on what is being done in their schools on international projects, I realized that the general education schools have better opportunities to involve the pupils or students in internationalization projects than we do at the vocational college. In the training structure of the vocational college, only a few departments would be offered, e.g. the educators to implement the principle of internationalization in school life or as a workshop to find and plan ideas and methodical implementation measures for work in kindergarten. Today we discussed internationalising the curriculum in the beautiful setting of Ilet du Gosier. It was useful to learn more about the steps that will achieve this. As part of our work, we considered the international work that was already happening in our schools. This discussion was really useful with lots of excellent projects and activities shared. Some of the ideas could be used in my school and the discussion helped me to start thinking about the possible impact that I could have within my school. It was really interesting to get an insight into the issues other institutes have in applying international based projects and the barriers they face, specifically due to lack of support from fellow colleagues and higher management. Place: Îles de Gosier

Today we went to nice little island next to Sainte-Anne, called île de Gosier. Brilliant classroom, well chosen from Rita. We passed another day in paradise: white beach, blue and green sea, blue sky and a big variety of animals, like the lizards.

For me it was very important to speak about the organisation of the KA2 project, to know what to fill out. We talked about how to internationalize our school. So we got some ideas for a good structure and how to build up an international curricular. For that it was very useful to present the international activities in our schools. There are some ideas I will try in my school too.
