      <description>Walt Disney has been known to push the boundaries when it came to anything that he did and this was especially true with his movies. Walt Disney has touched us all with his heartfelt stories and has left a great impact in the animation world that could never be erased. Complied here is a list of classic Disney animated movies that have completely changed the game. They were chosen from the criteria of: the impact they had on their audiences as well as on animation, their popularity, and by being an animated Disney movie. Without any bias, here is the top 10 Disney animated classics.</description>

The film is incredibly moving and references are constantly made to the arrival of the beloved Simba. The movie effortlessly moves between dark and light, holding deeper concepts only to transition over to a lighter and happier mood.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Finding Dory is one of the more recent Disney animated films, made in 2016, but ever more the revolutionizing.&nbsp;Jenn Ficarra&nbsp;states, "Finding Dory features groundbreaking technology for low-vision and blind audiences. The feature allows viewers to follow along via audio description which narrates what is happening on screen"(Ficarra). Disney has just expanded their audience even more. Widening the possibilities of what they can accomplish next and allowing more people to enjoy their content. Finding Dory is rated 94% on rotten tomatoes. </div>]]></description>

         <title>The Little Mermaid</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Little Mermaid, created in 1989, started the return for high-quality animation and storytelling. Along with this, The Little Mermaid also introduced a new film style in the Disney universe: "the movie musical"(Peitzman). The film incorporated music in a new way, structuring the movie like a traditional movie musical. This lead to the makings of Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, along with many others. Ariel can only be described as curious, driven, and desperate to create a life of her own, creating a wonderful story. The Little Mermaid is rated 92% on rotten tomatoes. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Steamboat Willie was created in 1928 and was the "first film to feature Mickey and Minnie"(Taylor). But it was also the first film to feature synchronized sound, according to Disney insider Drew Taylor who wrote the article, "10 Disney Movie Moments that Changed Animation". This was huge, characters dialogue usually being played in the background of scenes. Although short, it's technological innovation saves it a spot on this list. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Fantasia</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Disney produced two Fantasia's, one in 2000 and the other in 1940. Regardless of the year in which it was made, watching Fantasia is an experience. The film is known for it's beautiful visuals and expert combination of music and animation. Fantasia is completely eye-catching, made for the appreciation of its elaborate art as it is extremely impressive. Fantasia was also "the first commercial film to ever be shown in stereophonic sound", making the film truly interactive(Ficarra). The 1940's version was rated 96% on rotten tomatoes while the 2000's version was rated a 82%.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pinocchio, "Released in 1940...was the first film to win a competitive Academy Award. Actually it won two: Best Music, Original Score and Best Music, Original Song"(Ficarra). Pinocchio is Disney's second animated film, showing immense growth when compared to Snow White. It's message warning children of all the harm lying can cause, constant references are now made referring to the wooden  boy's growing nose. It shows that although trouble may be found along the way, your wish will come true at the end as long as you prevail. Pinocchio rates a 100% on rotten tomatoes. </div>]]></description>

Empowering anyone who has ever felt uncomfortable in their own skin, and encompassing that girls can be the heroes too. Mulan is strongly independent and takes matters into her own hands showing that anyone can fight their own battles. Mulan's sacrifice&nbsp;is one that touched viewers hearts as she risked her life to save her father's, once again Disney reminds it's viewers the importance of family. Tiana dreamed big and her aspirations were inspiring to many, impacting the audiences in abundance. She was strong and independent, focusing on the importance of hard work as well as the more warming theme of the importance of family. Created in 1991, Beauty and the Beast is a flawless representation of everything Walt Disney had ever strived to achieve. It is the first film nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, Beauty and the Beast a magnificent combination of animation, story, and music. Beauty and the Beast was "also the first time a piece of CGI was used to elicit an emotional response" (Taylor). Beauty and the Beast brought a surprising warmth to the cold machinery used in the production of the movie, changing the way animation is seen forever.          <description><![CDATA[<div>As described by Jenn Ficarra in her article, "17 Disney Movies That Were Groundbreaking For Their Time", Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were, "...the first full-length, English language animation film" (Ficarra). Snow White was the first film ever produced by Walt Disney Animation Studies. Made in 1937, Snow White became the first Disney princess. If Snow White hadn't taken off as well as it did, it is doubtful that Disney films would be as successful as they are today, making this classic film extremely essential. Snow White thriving in popularity, rating a 98% on rotten tomatoes, leaving no question as to the film's rightful place on this list. </div>]]></description>
