2. The cartoon summarizes all three Estates. It is showing how the First and Second Estate are more powerful than the Third Estate. The old man bending over is representing the Third Estate. You can tell he is apart of that Estate because he is carrying farm tools, wearing old, dirty clothes, and looks sad. On the other hand, the other two people on top of the old man are wearing clean clothes, they both look happy, and it is showing how they are more powerful. On the ground, you can see that the crops are getting eaten by animals which leads to a decrease in agriculture.

HIs clothes are torn up and he is having a hard time. even the animals are taking advantage of him

The cartoon summarizes the problems before the Revolution. In the picture, you see a seemingly poor and older man carrying two smaller and well dressed men. The peasant represents the Third Estate. In his hand, the 3rd Estate has a tool for farming, and he is larger (representing population). He also has a beard and messy hair, which expresses his lack of money. The men on top of the 3rd Estate represent the 1sr and 2nd Estate. They are smaller than the 3rd (representing population), and well dressed and have money in their pockets, while the 3rd Estate does not. They are also wearing vibrant colors which represent wealth.

2.) As seen from the cartoon, we can notice how unbalanced the sense of power was in the French society at the time. The Clergy and Nobility (representing only about 7% of the population) are weighing down the Third Estate of the peasants and merchants by physically sitting on top of the metaphorical character. The Third Estate is almost being crushed by the weight of their power and all the small things drawn on to characterize the First and Second Estates. The papers coming out of the two higher estates pockets represent money and wealth. They are actually drawn similarly to the Third Estate's shirt that is torn and ripped which symbolizes the group's lack of money and how they are treated poorly.

2. The cartoon shows you the different level of estates and how the 1st and 2nd has much more power over the third estate. The third estate is controlled by the 1st and 2nd estate and most people are in the third estate because the man holding the 1st and 2nd estate was much bugger than them, so it's a very small percentage of their society that has power. The third estate is doing everything for the 1st an 2nd estate. You can tell that the 1st and 2nd estate are very rich because they money hanging out of their pockets and their clothes have better quality and in better condition than what the third estate was wearing.

And the man sitting in front of the noble is a clergy who is part of the 1st estate. both the first and second estate people sit on top of the third estate person because those two have more money. and also the animals were also eating some of the food found on the ground causing the peasants having trouble with their agriculture. the peasant is either going to collapse or tip the two over.

2. The picture shows how heavily the First and Second Estates relied on the Third for tax money. It depicts the man representing the 3rd Estate bent over with his farming tools. On the ground there are not very many crops, and they are being eaten by animals, which shows the struggles with agriculture. The three characters look very weak, like they could topple over at any point, just like the French economy.

this summarizes the economy because the third estate is the weakest and biggest and is carrying the other two estates. The man is big representing the size of the estate, and the man is carrying the other two men. The other two estates are being carried by the 3rd estate and are considered more important. They have fancy clothes on while the third does not, this represents how the 1st and 2nd are treated better.

2. This cartoon is telling us that the Third Estate was being treated poorly, and that they had no power. They are holding up the Second and First Estates which before the French Revolution had all the power. You can tell that the man bending down has no power from his beaten up face to his clothes. I think this is also trying to tell people that the Third Estate had less money than the other Estates had. No one did anything to fix this unfairness between the Estates, but they wanted to keep all the power.

2) The cartoon shows the first and second estate on top of the third estate as if they are controlling or crushing them. This is a great representation of their economy because you see the third estate struggling to even stand on the bottom. They have so little money and are not doing well at all. Yet the first and second estates look like they could care less. They don't see how horrible their economy is doing, their pockets are overflowing with cash. The third estate's sleeve looks very similar to the money in the pockets, it has a hole in it and is fading quickly much like their economy. The third estate is also holding up the first and second estates exactly how their taxes hold up society.

This cartoon pictures a peasant from the third estate carrying a clergy member from the first estate and a noble from the second estate on his back. This picture perfectly shows the problems of the economy before the French Revolution. As in the picture, the third estate in France, was doing all of the work. They had to pay taxes while the first and second estate didn't. The picture also portrays the peasant supporting himself pickaxe and the others are just using him, just like in real society the first and second used him for their advantage.

I think that the cartoon also represents the economy before the French Revolution because of the way it shows the Third Estate holding up the rest; the Third Estate have been the ones to always pay taxes and keep the rest of the economy up with whatever money they could give. The cartoon really displays the economy because the bottom man, or Third Estate, is the biggest (representing the larger population) as well as the oldest, which to me reminds me of weakness. The Third Estate also does not have the papers (or money) that the Second and First Estates have, and instead has a hole in their shirt.

1) This cartoon depicts a man, who is struggling, supporting two other men on his back. I think this represents how the Third Estate basically carries the entire French economy even though the have way less. I think the man holding the people is the Third Estate, the man in the front in the First Estate, and the man on the back is the Second Estate.
2) This cartoon summarizes the economy before the French Revolution. Since the Third Estate was paying all of the taxes and had the least power, they are depicted as the man who is lifting everybody up. The man is old and tired, which shows how the Third Estate was basically dying with all of the work they had. The First Estate and Second Estates were on top and had nice clothing because they had more money due to the fact they didn't have to pay tax.

 2. This cartoon summarizes the level of wealth the 3 estates had. The first 2 Estates had equal wealth, but the third estate was always the one on the bottom and was never equally distributed. The evidence for this is you can tell that the third estate doesn't have much like nice clothes and is represented by an old man. The 1st and 2nd estates have nicer and cleaner clothes on, but if the two are compared then the 2nd estate has more designs which shows they have more interest in wealth and power, especially because their the nobility. The 1st estate doesn't have as much designs as the second one because they care more about god, especially because their the nobility. It also plays into part how the 3rd estate looks like its getting weaker and weaker with the the weight of the two states on him.

1) The clergy and First estate is represented by the small man who is being held up by the second estate, the noble in red, and they are all sitting on the struggling peasant from the third estate. The size of the peasant represents the large population the third estate contained. There are no crops as well in the picture even though he is carrying a tool, because of the drought.
2) This represents the struggles of trying to find money during the 1770s. The papers in their pants represent the taxes and money. The papers match the fabric on the third estate man's shirt. This may symbolize how the first and second estates are taking from the third estate.
