We lived in Burundi and now Kenya. In Burundi, I was a teacher, mentor, and principal at a small school for the children of missionaries. This allowed me to discover my love of curriculum among many other eye-opening experiences. Currently, my husband teaches at Rosslyn Academy, while I am taking a sabbatical year, primarily to get our family settled into our new home. One of the happy aspects of this move has been our new dog. She is a rescue dog, so it has been wonderful to watch her sweet personality emerge as she, presumably, recovers from trauma. Sixth grade is the students’ first year at our middle school, and they learn and grow so much! My hobbies include kayaking, hiking, and camping with my husband and our two black labs.
