The song "TiK ToK" by Ke$ha reflects on time in the same way that "S-Town" does. When Ke$ha says, "Tick tock on the clock but the party don't stop," she is commenting on the inevitability of time and humanity's constant push back against it, the urge to "party forever." This is the song we were talking about, right?

1. Time relates to the theme of S-Town's theme of time passing by. In S-Town they talk about all of the bad things that happen there, like the scandal with the police department and the murder of Dylan Nichols and how nothing ever gets done about it and it's just like no different there despite these things, the clock keeps ticking. "Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way", everyone just seems to waste their time in S-Town.
2. I think the annotation for the end of the intro is very interesting because I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling. "A track meet is used as a metaphor for life here. A starting gun is fired into the air to indicate the start of a race, but you’re never told when life is supposed to 'start'"
3. In the beginning of the song, it overloads your hearing sense with sounds of clock, ticking, etc. Then it gets more calm and it's more of just a ticking kind of sound which I think helps to put in perspective that time is moving forward no matter what.

1. This song relates with S-Town because of the concept of time passing by. In S-Town, as time goes by, bad things happen. There is a big sex scandal with the police department, someone is murdered and no one talks about it. In "Time" by Pink Floyd they talk about wasting time "Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way", it just shows how everyone is just wasting time and not worried about what's going on.
2. "We only have so many days, and yet we act like we have so many, spending them in an offhand way (especially during youth) like we might get rid of spare change, and treating our precious time as if it could be dull." We found this interesting because they're talking about how we just waste our time by doing unimportant things and it's going to catch up to us when we get older and we can't stop it.
3. the clocks at the beginning

1. When it says "Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain", it relates to John B because he's looks at the town negatively that he expects bad things to happen.
2. The end of the song where it says "Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells", was interesting because of it relating to funerals and how it was placed at the end of the song because death is the end.
3. In the beginning we heard church bells, alarm clocks, ticking, drums, a little bit of piano, and throughout the song we heard guitars.

1. The song can relate because it conveys themes of wasting time "Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way"
2. Plus this theme can relate back to the murder.
3. Some of the noises we heard where noises of clocks and chimes and that can relate to time

1. This song can relate to the themes of "S-Town" because the song or narrator of the song seems trapped in an old town "Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way"

2. We would say the annotations from the lyrics above were interesting because the narrator felt like he spent his childhood and early adulthood preparing for what might happen later on.

3. Most of the sound effects we heard happened at the beginning of the song. We heard chimes and clocks ringing.
