In English classes or bilingual classes, we can teach how languages are an essential element in all societies, how they survive over time (or even decline) and how they can influence or be influenced by these same societies due to political and cultural reasons.

In english classes we can teach a Lot of things, since grammar, vocabulary, phonetics and etc. But I believe that what changes is the way you approach that teaching. That way you can make your classes different and also make the difference.

In our bilingual classes, we teach much more than just language. We create meaningful experiences that connect English with the students’ real lives, cultures, and identities. Through interactive activities, games, projects, and daily situations, we teach communication, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. Instead of focusing only on grammar or translation, we explore content that matters, like science, arts, emotions, and everyday llie, all in two languages.

Our goal is to build confidence and curiosity, making students feel that English is not just a subject, but a tool to express who they are.

In English language classes, at least in the context of public schools where I work, the various language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) are taught. However, it is important to highlight that grammar is the main focus of the textbooks provided by the PNLD books. Therefore, I make several adaptations in my lessons in an attempt to address the different skills involved in learning of this foreign language.
