Its effective because the colour black makes the ps3

1.     it is effective because the black shade makes it stand out to any other colour to show it is different in a good way to any other product like it

This advert is selling a games console that can have loads of different games and you can play games with different people.

This adverts main image is a games console with images of different types of games around the edge of the console. It also has its brand features on it in the middle and at the bottom there is where you can find it.

The sell line at the bottom 'going down in history' can suggest that this may be the best generation of the playstation and is more populated than the others. It also shows that they have produced other generations of play stations.

1.   The creators of the advert have added historical figures in the background to connote that the playstation will go done in history. This is it effective because it shows that the people who buy it will be part of history.
 
 
2.   The advert is trying to sell a different/new invention that has made history, which is why the historical figures are appearing out behind the console. 
 
3.   The target audience is more towards males between the ages of 11 onwards. This is due to the main focus colour being black, which is seen to be quite a dark and gothic theme, which most boys go through at this age.
