         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of the Aztecs culture was doing human sacrifices. They did these because they believed that they owed everything to the Gods. They believed that if they sacrificed humans and animals that the Gods would grant them good crops for the year. Archaeologists believed that they sacrificed a few thousand a year. The Aztecs made the sacrifices walk up a bunch of stairs to where they would be sacrificed.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Mound Builder's obviously built mounds, or else why would they be called that. We can only assume that they built mounds for safety reason's. Maybe they built them from protection against armies. Well the real reason they did was they actually built mounds for religious purposes. All archaeologist can assume that the mound builders were very organized and very self efficient. They used tools and their hands to build the mounds. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Inca's actually did brain surgery. They usually did this surgery after injuries in war. Most proved to be fatal, for most  of the oldest skulls showed no signs of bone healing. This surgery was probably perfected overtime. But by the 1400's, survival rates approached 90%, and infection levels were very low. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This tribe had one of the most intense writing system ever. This system is called the Quipu. This writing system was made by using knots. It look something like a skirt but full of knots. This may have been used if there was a war and the other side did not know how to translate it and they could make plans to over take them. This was very useful when getting captured in war.</div>]]></description>

The Mayans were known for their intense calendar and astronomical buildings. They use these things for their religious rituals. They built pyramids like the Egyptian's the only difference is it is flat on top with temples on them.</div>]]></description>
