At the end of the story, Weaver hints to the tea tasting like bitter almonds. In our altered version of the story, the landlady poisons the tea which she used to kill her two previous victims Gregory Temple and Christopher Mulholland. The landlady even tells Weaver how Mulholland drank lots of tea when he had visited her Bed and Breakfast. The landlady is not wrong about her two previous guests still being at the BnB. They are still at the house, still upstairs. That is where their bodies remain after the landlady had poisoned them. We would change the authors structure to include a more atmospheric effect and focus a little less on dialog to set the mood. This would make the story more realistic and creepy to the audience while still including enough dialog to explain what has happened previously as well as change the overall tone.
