         <description><![CDATA[<div>How do you think water quality and living conditions affected the lifespan of the wealthy (like the Dooleys) and the poor/working class (Richmond city dwellers)?<br><br>Evidence:<br><br>The average life expectancy during the 1890s was 50 Years old.<br><br>Mr. James H. Dooley lived to be  80 Years old, his wife Sarah May Dooley lived to be 79.<br><br>In 1893 the Dooleys moved away from the city to their estate, Maymont which was surrounded by undeveloped land.  <br><br>Learning Objective: <br>Using evidence provided and observations from primary source material, I will be able to identify at least one way that environment affects life span and provide at least one law that could support a clean water supply. </div>]]></description>
