Hey bloggers! Today I started reading The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau. When I was trying to pick a book yesterday, I was wavering between The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime by Mark Haddon and The Perks of being a wallflower by Stephen chbosky.
It was a tough decision. But, I ultimately decided to choose this book because I started this book last year and never finished it and I was about halfway done with the book.

1. It is a Dystopian Book
2. Another book she wrote is Disclose
3. It's definitely more of a modern read.
4. It's almost like the hunger games, but there's not a movie about the testing.
So far, (I like it! Here is a quick summary of what I have read so far They made it past the testing phases and it's like the hunger games from here on in the book but one of the characters friends ran up a hill and it exploded, she helped fix him up after he was impaled with a tree branch.

Today we watched a short film called “Validation” after watching it I couldn’t help thinking that the film reminded me of Forrest Gump and how he made he impacted the world with his running. He had many followers and in validation, the girl was also like a follower and started doing what the validation guy was doing at the beginning of the film. The film also reminded me of the wedding singer and how he was searching for this girl and he never gave up which is something the director wanted us to think of while watching.

The Title of the book is called The Testing, it is a Dystopian book and the author of the book is Joelle Charbonneau. The main character is Cia Vale, Her conflict is that she is placed in a variety of tests that put her mind to the test and only the best of the best last to go into the last test which is like the hunger games. She has one of her lifelong friends with her and his name is Tomas and they know that there are cameras that people that put them there listen to what they are saying and the finalists get there mind wiped and they need to stop it from happening for the first time forever.

I think a critical moment in the book that breaks down Cia is when she gets sent to the testing facilities. It really tests her mind and her body and I think throughout the tests she persevered through the toughest mentally challenging times. She has to go through people that are also having a hard time with the tests, such a hard time that they kill themselves and she has to try to act like that didn't affect her.
I cannot relate to Cia because I never stress during tests and if I do it never gets to the point where i cant do any of my work. I also Definitely cant relate to her situation being put in a test where you can kill people in a certain space.
