It's about a boy named Stanley yelnats who is under a curse. A curse that began with his great great grandfather and has followed through generations of yelnats. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys detention center camp green lake where boys build caracter by spending all day,every day digging holes exactly five feet wide five feet deep. Thereis  no lake at camp green lake. But there are an awaful lot of holes. But Stanley realizes there's more to building caracter at camp green lake . She sleeps with a book under her pillow called ink heart and it somehow whispers it's beautifully inked pages to her through her pillow, she finally decides to get up and rub her eyes and read some of her book. She loves to read by candlelight, but her dad says: "fire devouers books!" Because he thinks Maggie will catch something on fire. Meggie disobeys.. she lights 1 or 2 candles and begins reading, but then.. she hears footsteps. She blows out the candles with alarm. Then she glances outside.. she sees a mysterious figure, similar to a shadow... what happens next. I give this a 3 so far.
