"In Extreme perception and animal intelligence", authors Templen Grandin and Catherine Johnson discuss animal intelligence and how it is confused with extreme perception by advanced perceptual abilities. The intelligence that dogs have is not equal to that of humans, but that does not make it a genius. So they use their advanced perceptual abilities to accomplish their jobs, which brings us into the realm of cognition.

Seizure response dogs are an example of this connection. They can be trained to help their owner by getting on top of the person or carrying their medicine or phone. They can also predict a seizure before the seizure even before it starts. Those are all standard helpful behaviors any dog can be trained to do.It is not yet clear to us how some of these dogs have gone from responding to seizures to sensing signs of a seizure early. No human being can look at someone who is about to have a seizure and see (or hear, smell or feel) what is coming. However, Connie Standley's dogs predict her seizure thirty minutes in advance and this keeps her safe.

Another case that we can make known is that of the German horse Clever Hans. The horse was a very intelligent horse, tall and very commanding, only in a different way. His fame began at the beginning of the 20th century. He was able to write answers to questions like,! If the eighth day of the month is Tuesday, what is the date of the following Friday?" He could also answer math questions that made him complete strangers. This for the viewers was very interesting and incredible because it is not very common to see a horse like clever hans, apart from the fact that he was very loved by the people around him, apart from helping and being very intelligent to answer mathematical questions among others, he was very obedient.

In conclusion, this article teaches us that animals are very intelligent even though they may not seem so at first glance, and this is shown in their abilities that are sometimes surprising. If you had the opportunity to adopt even one as your pet, would you like to help you in your daily life?

1-The concern is thet we often look for human traits characteristics when we study animal´s way of behaving. But what may be be clever for us needn´t be a viable attribute in other members of the animal intelligence.
2-Bøckman says that we communicate with our own language between us so as long as we cannot communicate with animals we cannot know how intelligent we are.
3-We found a lot of studies that are based on the neural circuits of various species and thus help with the investigation and see if some human qualities exist in other species.
