Because of the inconsistent use of technology across the school, the students struggle with basic technology skills and this has inadvertently caused a digital divide amongst our students. It would be nice to find an incentive that would engage all staff to get on board with this project in order to ensure its 
effectiveness. With an adequate incentive, we could recruit one representative from each team at our school to be trained on basic technology tools at a common time. This would alleviate the strain on our three person tech team for a school of close to 800 students and save valuable time in the long run.

While technology is available in some cases, the soft ware used is not current or updates and limited number of digital resources for students and teachers. It is my hope to develop a plan that will create create a more digitally equitable environment for both teachers and students.

All of our students are 1:1 with devices, and teachers for the most part feel comfortable incorporating them into instruction, however this becomes difficulty when our students lack basic knowledge on how to use these devices. I wish to develop a plan that would allow students to receive instruction on the basics of using their devices.

It is also important that follow up sessions are implemented in addition to the initial introduction. Having multiple staff members sufficiently trained by the county on the LMS would allow for a more successful implementation as well. The lack of training makes the new LMS not equitable because most teachers do not know how to use it to it's full potential and every few teachers will take time to jump through the hoops to teach themselves.

Both students and teachers are not adequately prepared to use devices full time in their classrooms which discourages the use overall. My vision is to implement a way to adequately prepare both students and teachers on basic functions of their device therefore motivating the devices to be used on a daily basis in class.
