Hello Everyone! I am Nick and I will have the pleasure to be your professor for this module. Tourism is my life and I have been to many places across the globe. I am sure you will notice this from our case studies :)

My favourite destination is New Zealand. I love the pristine nature of the island, the unique culture and the weather of course! If I have to choose a city though - it is by all means Tokyo in Japan. It is massive, crowded, advanced, tech-savvy, modern and cultural at the same time.

Hi there, my name is Sabrina and I am 28 years old. I've worked as an event manager in the last years and decided to study tourism because I would like to change the way most of the people travel and let tourism become more sustainable.

I was lucky to visit many places on our wonderful planet already so my favourite destination is hard to be named. Definitely in the TOP5 are Colombia, Ecuador, Kauai, Borneo and Jamaica because I love wandering through the rainforest and explore fauna and flora. I also find it interesting how different cultures grew and developed over the recent decades such as the Incas in Peru or the Polynesian culture on the Hawaiian archipelago.
Sustainability plays a huge role in my life, my habits changed completely since a couple of years and I'd like to grow with this challenge and make it my job in the tourism industry.

Hi everyone, my name is Dinh Duy Le and I'm from Viet Nam. My passion is to travel around and learn new things. I have been studying in Finland for my bachelor's degree for 3 years, and I'm currently doing my last semester here as an exchange student in Munich.

During my studies I have traveled to multiple countries like Hungary, the Netherlands, France, ... but one reason why I chose Munich as my destination for exchange is that during my visit to Germany (Berlin) I thought Germany was quite exotic and interesting, so I wanted to see what it was like to live and study here.

Hey! I'm Paula and I'm 20 years old. I am from the countryside of Barcelona, Spain, and I am doing my Erasmus exchange in Munich. I've done a couple of interships in the tourism sector and working as an enotourism guide/sommelier helped me decide that this is the industry i want to grow in.

So far I have only travelled around Europe, so I think I don't know enough to decide my favourite destination, but I am very excited about learning different languages to get a better insight about the cultures.

Hi everyone, I am Joelle. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Geography and am now doing a master’s in Tourism. I am interested in mobility, urban planning, and basically everything related to sustainability.

My favorite destination I discovered last year was Santa Cruz in California. The mix of ocean, mountains, and nearby big cities was amazing. In general, I feel most at home in mountain regions. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s skiing in winter or hiking and climbing in summer.

Hello everyone,

My name is Sophia, and I am currently a master’s student studying Strategy and Innovation in Tourism at HM. I am in my second semester. Alongside my studies, I work part-time at Lufthansa in the Crew Training department, where I have had the opportunity to experience flights both from the cockpit and in full flight simulators.

My favorite destination is New York City. I visited New York for the first time in early September 2023, and ever since then I have wanted to go back. I spent five amazing days there, and the trip was especially meaningful because it was my first solo journey.

Hello, I am 2O years old. I'm French and I am here for an erasmus semester. This is my first time in Germany. This is currently my second year at university.

I completed a practical semester in a palace Les Sources de Caudalie, near Bordeaux, as a hotel concierge.

I do not wish to pursue a long career in hotel industry but I want to promote the French Art de Vivre and the Made in France accross the world. I believe that starting my career in this type of hotel will help me gain valuable experience in luxury and communication.

I am sure that I'll enjoy this semester in Munich and I hope to increase my german.
