This is a. hotly debated issue of whether it Is a good thing to allow transgenders into the fighting force, because of social instability within troops, medical costs associated with Trans people, and even violence as a result of Trans people entering the military. People should be who they want to be in this world regardless of race, color, religion, or background and the argument that Trans people have is why should they be treated any differently than other groups that currently serve in the military. There is quite an issue here, because morally if the president makes good on his promise to not let Trans people in the military, then he will be giving a direct discriminatory order, but on the basis of his argument that the medical costs alone will tax the resources of the military simply by allowing them to join, then it may be a valid argument. It is hard to tell someone they can not do something simply based off of how they identify themselves, but this is the moral issue this country is dealing with today.
