         <description><![CDATA[<div>A land form found here is he Rio Grande it is formed by the joining of several streams. A characteristics of this is big Bend Country is also known as the Trans-Pecos. It covers the extreme western part of the state east to the Pecos River. The different soils and elevations in this region support diverse habitats and vegetation, from desert valleys and plateaus to wooded mountain slopes. The major aquifer is Hueco Mesilla Bolson. Big bend is the only state park to have an entire mountain range within its borders.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Landform Formed:</strong> A land form found here is the Rio Grande is formed by the joining of several streams, just east of the continental divide. <br><strong>Characteristics:</strong> Gulf Coast is a nearly level, slowly-drained plain. It is dissected by streams and rivers flowing into the Gulf of Mexico. <strong>Groundwater Unit:</strong> The major aquifers are Gulf Coast, and Carrizo Wilcox. <br><strong>Fact:</strong> Soils are predominantly coarse textured sands, produced from weathered granite over thousands of years.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A land form found here is the Ozark Mountain.This land form was formed when the movement of the Earth's crust and tectonic plates. Movements deep beneath the Earth's surface cause a variety of reactions, which results in different types of mountains. Characteristic of this region is the plateau region comprises an area of central Texas commonly known as the Texas Hill Country. It is a land of many springs, stony hills, and steep canyons. The region is home to a whole host of rare plants and animals found nowhere else on earth. The major aquifer is Edwards, Carrixo Wilcox. An interesting fact is thare is famous Enchanted Rock near Fredericksburg. This was considered a sacred holy place for the Native Americans that lived here long ago.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Landform Formed: </strong>A<strong> </strong>land form found here is the Red river. it is formed by other streams joining it. <br><strong>Characteristics:</strong> characteristic of the panhandle he Panhandle goes from gently rolling hills to rough and dissected with canyons. Also there are soils vary from coarse sands along streams, to clays and shales. The soil is neutral to slightly alkaline.<br><strong>Groundwater Unit: </strong>The major Aquifers are Ogallala, Seymour, Nacotoch, Alluvium, Cenozoic, Pecos, Edwards-Trinity.<br><strong>Fact: </strong>sometimes this land is also called the Llano Estacado or “Staked Plains.”&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Characteristics: </strong>The east Texas pineywoods has rolling terrain covered with pines and oaks, and rich bottomlands with tall hardwoods. This region is part of a much larger area of pine-hardwood forest that extends into Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. The soils of the region are generally acidic and mostly pale to dark gray sands or sandy loams.<br><strong>Fact: </strong>The Red-cockaded woodpecker is a rare bird that lives in Pineywoods.<br><strong>Landform Formed:&nbsp; </strong>The River Sulphur are formed when flowing water from precipitation or springs flows over land and accumulates in existing low points in the topography, eroding it and forming a riverbed.<strong> <br>Groundwater Unit:</strong> The Major Aquifer is Carrizo-Wilcox</div>]]></description>

Crop production and cattle ranching are the primary agricultural industries. There are two types of prairies here.<br><strong>Fact: </strong>Giant dinosaurs once roamed this region long, long ago.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Landform Formed:</strong> A land form found here is the Gulf Coast is formed by the joining of several streams.<br><strong>Characteristics: </strong>The South Texas Brush Country is characterized by plains of thorny shrubs and trees and scattered patches of palms and subtropical woodlands in the Rio Grande Valley. The plains were once covered with open grasslands and a scattering of trees, and the valley woodlands once covered large areas. Today, the primary vegetation consists of thorny brush such as mesquite, acacia, and prickly pear mixed with areas of grassland.<br><strong>Groundwater Unit:</strong> the major aquifers are Edwards, Trinity, Carrizo-Wilcox, and Gulf Coast.<strong><br>Fact:</strong> The Star Cactus is a rare plant that grows in this region.</div>]]></description>
