I agree with violence being contagious since people are often influenced by others actions, and in this case it would be violence. There have been many school shootings, and some were influenced by the other attackers. Most young people also. To stop violence from being contagious, people should be able to effect on others.

An epidemic is the uprising of a disease in a very rapid fashion. I did not know this interesting fact. The host draws parallels between violence and diseases. The similarity lies in the fact they spread in a similar fashion. I agree with the fact that violence spreads like a contagious disease as I have firsthand accounts of it happening. I have seen people fighting one day and the next, a person seriously got hurt based off of the first fight.

I agree with violence being contagious because it causes people to hurt each other, and also start a chain of violent actions. When we hurt other people, they might see no other way to cope with the feeling rather than hurting someone else as revenge. I've seen this in bullying situations where the victim often resorts to violence to get back at the bully. I feel that preventing violence would be most effectively done by controlling what invokes negative feelings in people to cause the violence, such as focusing on domestic problems, the mental and emotional health of a person.

Violence is a contagious disease due to its susceptibility to spread uncontrollably, where a person who witnessed, or has been put through an act of violence, would more than likely have a mindset of enacting violence as well to get their way if necessary. For example, kids who are abused earlier stages in their life tend to grow up to become bullies to other kids as that is the only concept they are aware of.
