Simularities: In both photos you can see the sky. There are some kinds of holidays happening at a specific time of the day. In these photos people are celebrating the holidays of their country.The main difference is that the first photo shows a holiday during the evening and in the second photo it is during the day. In the first photo, the main  things that you can see are fireworks and flags of a country. In the second photo you can see some kind of parade, festival, with a bunch of people.

Personally, I celebrate my country's holidays. There are many of them most feature past events that happened decades ago, like January 1st 1990, February 16th 1918 and so on. These are very important to me and to everyone else. I remember them, celebrate them with friends, relatives and other people of this country. Today, it has turned into a week-long annual Mardi Gras celebration that transforms the city after the end of the festival that begins at the beginning of Lent. The Italian festival has become famous and imitated all over the world for its masks that everyone wears.
During the carnival, the sky is filled with fireworks and Italian flags, it is a big event that attracts a lot of tourists.            Domantas
