The conflict was that Cassie has always felt like she belongs in Lower Grange- The old town that was drowned to create a lake. She always felt like that was the part of her that was missing. She wants to find the secrets hidden beneath. And with the water running low she might have  a chance.  The theme of Below was that you have to fight for what really matters to you and take risks. The 
theme affects the character the most because without her having to learn this theme she wouldn't have ended the way it did and didn't ake risks she would have just gone to the pool and it would've been very different.

For example, the way she feels when she's in the water. But I've never had to solve a mystery or felt like my life was in danger. I also don't have bad lungs and felt like it was really hard to breath. But I have felt misplaced and I have felt like I've let someone down.
This Book was really a Window because I've never experienced the feeling like I'm not supposed to be where I am. The conflict Cassie is feeling I've never felt so I had to really read into the description and just try to imagine. I've also known the whole life and most of them live with me. The one that doesn't, I keep in touch with. They are also not extremely older than me like Enola's are. And I don't go long periods of time without seeing them.
