Experience

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is highly relevant. Through this subject, I have integrated Canva AI for visual design and Brisk Teaching to complete various assignments. I also explored several other interesting AI features that helped streamline my work and improve my teaching and learning (T&L) skills. The use of Canva AI and the Brisk Method has significantly enhanced both my skills and the quality of my instructional materials.

For example, Canva AI’s Magic Design feature allowed me to quickly generate infographics and attractive slides, saving time on idea generation. Meanwhile, Brisk Method efficiently generated initial text drafts for modules and quiz questions, enabling me to focus more on refining and perfecting the content. As a result, the quality of my visual materials improved with professional and interactive designs from Canva AI, while Brisk Method supported the development of well-structured and engaging text content, making it easier for students to understand. Both tools not only sped up my workflow but also increased the appeal and clarity of my learning materials.

Challenges

One of the main challenges I faced was my lack of familiarity with certain AI features. I had to invest considerable time in research and experimentation to become proficient in using these tools effectively.

Lessons Learned

What ive learned in this course i've learned how to ultilize all the AI integration feature in my lesson and im so glad that all this feature invented to make the education is more easy and interasting to learn.

Suggestions for Improvement

Based on this experience, several suggestions can help enhance AI integration in educational content creation. First, developing a comprehensive guidebook or a dedicated website outlining AI usage instructions and best practices would ensure consistent quality and ethical application, including fact-checking and bias avoidance.

Second, there should be a stronger emphasis on training in prompt engineering to help users produce more accurate and AI-friendly commands. Third, exploring more integrated AI tools that minimize platform-switching could lead to a more efficient workflow. Finally, it is crucial to implement a systematic user feedback mechanism for AI features so that these tools can continue to evolve and better meet the needs of the education sector.

Taking this course has really opened my eyes to how useful educational technology can be, especially when it comes to using AI. From Assignment 1 to 3, I’ve learned many practical skills that I know will help me later as a teacher. At first, I never really saw AI as something that could benefit education, but this project showed me the brighter side of it.

Throughout the project, our group worked well together. We shared ideas, supported each other, and made good use of the tools we learned in class. AI helped us create content faster and gave us new ideas we wouldn’t have thought of on our own.

One of the challenges we faced was knowing how much we should rely on AI. Sometimes it felt too easy to just let it do everything, but we had to make sure the content was accurate and truly ours. We learned to balance between using AI and adding our own creativity and understanding.

I’ve learned that AI can be very helpful if we use it the right way. It’s not about replacing teachers or students, it’s about making learning easier and more engaging. But at the same time, we have to be responsible and not depend on it too much. Not everything AI generates is perfect, so we still need to think critically.

This course really benefits future teachers and students. For teachers, it gives more tools to create fun and meaningful lessons. For students, it can provide more personalized learning and help those who might struggle with traditional methods. Overall, it prepares us to teach in a more modern, digital world.

If there’s one thing I’d improve, it would be to include more discussion on the safe and ethical use of AI. Now that AI is everywhere, we need to be aware of the risks, like plagiarism and overuse. A bit more guidance on how to use it properly would help us make better choices.

Throughout my learning process on creating the AI assisted learning resources, i learnt new things that i had never once thought i could do that. Creating the AI-Assisted Learning Resource using Canva was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. Personally, I found the use of Canva to be an excellent choice for designing engaging and visually appealing educational content. The user-friendly interface, variety of templates, and AI tools made the design process both efficient and creative. One of the things that worked well during the project was our division of roles. Each member focused on a specific section of the content, and we then brought everything together on Canva. For example, one of us did a song by using Suno AI and also did a game by using Genially website. This kept the process organized and allowed everyone to contribute meaningfully. From here, However, we did face some challenges. Internet connectivity occasionally disrupted the editing process, and some members had limited experience using Canva’s advanced features. From this project, I learned how powerful AI tools can be in supporting educational content creation. Features like AI-generated text suggestions helped spark ideas. However, we also learned the importance of reviewing and editing AI-generated content to ensure it fits the learning objective and maintains a human tone. For future improvement, we could have planned our content outline more clearly before starting on Canva. We also hope to explore more interactive elements, such as embedded quizzes or voiceovers, to enhance learner engagement.
