My family loves to be outdoors. We especially love to hike, kayak, and bike. However, those activities are usually reserved for the weekends or a holiday break. Recently, we started going to the river trail on weekday evenings and walking as a family. My husband and I both have pretty stressful jobs (my husband is a flight nurse), and it gives us both the opportunity to decompress after our workdays. We are able to spend time together and get some exercise. My daughter is exhausted when we get back from our walks and bedtime is very easy; that is an added bonus! This is such a simple act, but it has made a huge impact on our mental health.
