She takes Paul to his isolated cabin where she becomes more and more violent with Paul as he tries to escape. He played the part of an injured man very well, and you could tell how much pain he was in, and his reactions to the traumatic events were very realistic. Kathy Bates, who played Annie Wilkes was the perfect person for the part. No offense to her, but even her appearance matches the personality of Annie Wilkes. Also as well as the gory scenes were very anxiety inducing, which I think is a good thing to keep the audience, myself, hooked and wanting to know what happens next. What I didn't like was how Buster, the sheriff got the idea to go to Annie Wilkes house. I feel like in a real life situation that wouldn't of happened, it felt scripted like he was supposed to find out Paul Sheldon was still alive going to the correct house. It's action scenes, swears and gory moments definitely would make me not recommend this to younger audiences. It's dry humor moments and plot of the entire movie isn't generational, meaning there isn't humor that only younger/older generations would get. Anybody of any age could enjoy this movie. The MPAA rating of this movie: R.
