What helps me to support my students when using AI has generally been teaching them how to modify and cahnge thier assignments from HS level language to a level that is near thier GE on their IEPs. I have found that they are still able to support thier learning and it teachs them self reliance when they are working on their assingments from all classes.

I'm wanting to have my students use AI to generate ideas for writing or responding to the text. Writing has been their biggest challenge from deciding on a topic, generating ideas, sentence fluency, organizing their writing, and engaging in the writing process.
