On August 4th everyone is discovered, arrested and sent to Westerbork then Auschwitz. In October, Anne and Margot are transferred and taken to Bergen-Belsen.

January 5th Edith dies, January 26th Otto is liberated from Auschwitz. Margot and Anne die in Bergen-Belson, of the eight people who hid in the Secret Annexe, Otto is the only survivor.
