Effects of Alexander expanding into India was that he kicked out people who were living there. This is negative because people were forced to move. Those people had to find new homes and move away. They also moved because of the invasion/war that happened. He also affected people because they were living with whoever the current ruler was and once he took over, they had to change their way of life. This is negative because people had lived a certain way for a long time and had to change how they acted in a split second. Lastly, his invasion killed people when they would try to fight back. This caused the population to go down.

These points of views are different because the soldiers fought for him and conquered the cities. People in Macedonia thought that Alexander the Great was the one who took over the countries so they thought of him as superior even if he was their King so that affected how they saw him. Source 1 shows how much people honored him and how superior he was and source 2 shows that the soldiers didn’t want to invade the countries.

When Alexander the Great invaded India, they entered a war. They would bring armor and what was special was the helmets. This changed people's lives because they learned how to protect themselves and it helped Alexander invade more countries because he had more protection. This affected today’s society because more people have helmets to protect their head when biking, riding a scooter, and things like that. They brought back the knowledge of what other countries were like and how they were different from Macedonia. This impacted them because they before, they didn’t know how or what they would have to conquer in order to win against them. But as they got to the country they were thinking about conquering, they saw what they had to defeat and how it was different. This effects today because we don’t know what life is like in other countries. We would have to go there and experienced it, and bring back knowledge of what it was like. That is kind of what Alexander did. Him and his soldiers brought back the knowledge of other countries.

In Egypt, they would import supplies to build houses and would take up land that people were using for food. This is both good and bad. It is good because it allowed population to expand, and it is bad because it took away people's sources of food. When people came, native population goes down. This causes many tribes to be forced into working or moving to a different place when they have been at the same place for their whole life. This is a negative thing. Lastly, religion spread throughout. People changed to Muslim. This is both negative and positive because people got to explore the religion but sometimes they were forced into a religion they didn't believe. This also caused many people to rebel.
