In Chemistry, the term would be an Element, the purest, simplest form of a Substance that usually only has one core atom. (Element = Unsur)

I learned more about simple sentence, especially about the fact that you're able and allowed to add compound elements. Also the fact that it counts as simple sentence as long as it follows the Subject-Verb/Predicate rule.

As long as it follows the S + P form, you could have as many subjects or predicates as you want. These simple sentences are called simple sentences with compound elements (either subject or predicate)
Be careful of object of preposition, appositive, present participle & past participle in simple sentences.

Today, we learnt about simple sentences and how ironic to their names, they are actually a bit more complex than we realize.

I used to think that you only need one subject and predicate for it to be considered a simple sentence, but I know know that you can have multiple subject and predicates as long as the structure fits.

I have learned that a simple sentence can contain more than one subject, verb, and object, which is called compound. Other than that, I have also learned some points that is needed to be aware of in TOEFL test such as appositive, present and past participle, also, be more cautious with subject-verb agreement in a sentence.
