Giant Hogweeds grow immensely taller than any other plants in the ecosystem which deprives the these plants from sunlight. Also, they're flowers can contain from 20,000 seeds to 70,000 seeds meaning they can repopulate quicker than other plants. They innately have a resilient nature which is beneficial for them while, being harmful to the ecosystem by making the plant live a long lifespan.

The clam, not native to the U.S, doesn't have many natural predators to control the population of the clam. This results in over population of the clam. The asian clam once finished with the feeding process excretes nitrogen which stimulates algae blooms, which can impact the other animals.

The floating leaves of the flower block the surface of the water, leading to a decrease in other plant sources that cannot absorb enough sunlight. Consumers such as frogs and insects lose their source of energy and consequently die off because they cannot consume Crested Floating Hearts. The flower also reduces the quality of the water when it is decomposed, as the algae fills the water with the harmful chemicals found inside Crested Floating Hearts. This leads to an entire ecosystem dying out and leaving only this flower alive.
