Another was to set up times to meet kids on Google Docs and type with them.  It was fun for them to see us typing at the same time.  We could commentback and forth: sometimes just friendly commenets, other times critiquing each others work.  It kept things light, we had some fun and laughs while staying productive.  Overall both of these strategies worked really well. went really well.

Other times I would make it a public Google classroom question so that they could interact with each other. Another thing I tried was making google classroom quiz assignments that used google forms. I would have questions and serious to silly answer choices that students could just click on. I did a daily email question to my Homebase and met with them Tuesday & Thursday for about half an hour. I asked something simple like, “How do you like your eggs?” or “Bears or Tigers?” I got some really interesting responses!
