1. There was a risk of it exploding manufacturers. There was also black gunpowder
3. The chinese made Gunpowder well trying to make a potion to make people live forever
4.The chinese in the early days made flaming arrows and a flame thrower (this is before they new how to make it explode)  
5.The chinese tied the gunpowder to a spear and threw it and it went BOOM at the enemy
